900,153. Valves. MOORE, R. P. Sept. 17, 1958 [Sept. 20, 1957], No. 29705/58. Class 135. A pressure-operated diaphragm valve in which the diaphragm 6 divides the housing into two compartments, one, 17, for connection to a pressure source and the other including concentric inlet and outlet passages 8, 11, the diaphragms being supported on a movable column stop 37 slidable in chamber 17 and having a tapered vaned member 39 fitting the inner concentric passage when the diaphragm closes the valve. The valve is closed by upstream pressure, e.g. at 21, passing valve 22 and opened by exhausting pressure to atmosphere via valve 24 or downstream at 25 via valve 23.
