A valve comprises a chamber 16 having opposite ports 19, 20, of which one, 19, is the inlet, the interior of the chamber between the ports communicating with an outlet 17 .containing a choke 18, a valve closure member e.g. ball 26 co-operating with the ports and biased, e.g. by its weight, to close the inlet, and a passage 25 joining port 20 to a point 14 in the outlet downstream of the choke, whereby the pressure drop across the choke holds the valve open on the port 20. Specifications 612,344 and 757,738 are referred to.
