A demand regulator comprises a one-piece annular casing provided with two diaphragms 12, 12 each controlling a separate supply valve 15, 15a and the valves are dimensioned to open at different differential pressures. This is achieved, for example, by making the valve seatings of different areas or by making the control rods 16, 17 of different lengths. With such an arrangement the second valve comes into use when the demand is increased sufficiently so that relatively large flows can be obtained when necessary without making the regulator itself bulky.
