A valve comprises a glass or ceramic body a with an inlet tube # controlled by a membrane c of polytetrafluorethylene which is subject to a variable pressure of air or liquid admitted through an opening e to a rubber container d which is confined by a domed cover b and is connected to a pressure gauge g. The opening e may be connected by a pipe to a point of remote control. The valve may function as a safety valve.
