Abstract
A valve for liquids has a flexible membrane (14) which can be put under pressure mounted around a piston or plunger (11) by which it can be moved. This piston travels between a setting in which the pathway between inlet and outlet is closed, and second setting in which the pathway connection is completely open. The pressure inside the ring shaped membrane (14) can be controlled by a valve (16) in a by-pass line (15) connected to the inlet side (13) of the valve.
