[Also in Division F2] A device for detecting pressure variations in either of two gas supply lines in anaesthetic equipment, comprises a valve body having apertured side walls 9 and housing a valve member 4 mounted on a spindle 5 which passes through apertures in plates 7. The two supply lines are connected to the apertures in the walls 9 so that the pressures act in chambers 11 on diaphragm 8 to urge the plates into engagement with the valve member. In the event of a failure in one of the pressures, the other pressure moves its associated disc into engagement with a shoulder 3 of the housing and then acts through the aperture in the disc to open the valve and allow flow to fluid pressure indicator and/or warning device through an outlet 2. If the supplies are not to be equal the size of the diaphragms are made in the required proportion.
