490,858. Shaping grinding discs. ZAHNRADFABRIK FRIEDRICHSHAFEN AKT.-GES. Feb. 26, 1937, No. 5893. Convention date, March 9, 1936. [Class 124] A device for trueing the curved working surface of grinding-discs by a tool moving over a curve reduced from a template to anv desired scale. The trueing tool 13 is adjustably secured along a bridge-piece 47, one end of which is pivoted on the slide 43 and the other is guided over the template 46. The slides 43, 45 can he adjusted to allow for wheels of different diameters. The linkage 5, 6, 7 maintains the trueing tool perpendicular to the surface of the wheel. The device is secured between pivots 32, 33 normally used to receive the gear-wheel to be ground. In a modification, the pivot of the bridge-piece is situated on the line of centres of the pivots 32, 33.
