Abstract

In the production of salts by the use of base-exchanging substances wherein a solution of a salt containing the same cation as the salt which it is desired to produce, water, a solution of a salt containing the same anion as the salt which it is desired to produce, and water are passed in succession through the base-exchanging substance and this process is repeated continuously, the size of the granules of the base-exchanging substance employed lies between 0,3 and 1 mm. and preferably between 0,45 and 0,85 mm. By this means admixture of the reacting solutions with the water is minimized. Specifications 407,311, 407,313, and 421,154 are referred to.
