Abstract
484,598. Television transmitters. FERNSEH AKT.-GES. Nov. 9, 1936, No. 30458. Convention date, Nov. 9, 1935. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v)] The signals from an iconoscope A, are applied to a grid 18 to control the electron emission from a photo-electric cathode 6 activated by light from a constant source 8. The resulting electron beam is directed into an electron multiplier C in which the electrons oscillate between electrodes 11 and 12 and are finally attracted to the anode 13. The light from the source 8 may be directed onto the cathode 6 by a mirror 10, or directly through apertures in the electrodes 11, 12, Fig. 2 (not shown). The iconoscope may be contained in the same envelope as the electron source B and multiplier C, Fig. 3 (not shown).
