Abstract
481,304. Push - bar gill - frames. GILLESPIE, J., and SHAW, P. Nov. 3, 1936, No. 29871. [Class 120 (i)] In gill-frames of the push-bar type, the bars c, Fig. 1. are controlled so as to enter and leave the sliver approximately at right-angles to the plane of the fibres by the provision of a single throw crank c<1>, Fig. 2, at one end of each bar and two separately constructed continuous enclosed cam paths a, b, Fig. 3, at each side of the machine, the path a controlling the pushbars and the path b controlling the single throw cranks. Driving wheels d are provided at one end of the machine at each side for actuating the push-bars. The cranks of alternate bars are disposed on opposite sides of the machine. Removable blocks f may be provided for insertion or removal of the gill-bars.
