[Class 51 (i)] In a combustion regulator for a hot-water boiler in which the air-inlet door 2 is controlled by a bellows-box immersed in the boiler water, the door 2 is also under the control of a bellows-box which is connected to a rigid vessel subjected to variations of the external temperature, the box, the connecting conduit and the rigid vessel all containing a liquid not liable to freeze under service conditions. In the form shown in Fig. 1, there is employed a single bellowsbox 8 which is immersed in the boiler water and is connected by a pipe 15 to the rigid liquid-containing vessel 16, the movement of the bellows being mechanically transmitted to the door 2 by rod 9, spring 10, lever 11, and-adjustable chain 4. In a modified construction, an hydraulic transmission system between the bellows and the chain 4 is employed. Fig. 3 shows a further construction provided with two bellows-boxes 33, 28 respectively immersed in the boiler water and connected to the vessel 16, the movement of the bellows 28 being communicated to the door chain 4 by a cord 30 passing over a pulley 31 secured to the end of the lever 32 of the bellows 33.
