[Class 110 (iii)] In a steam turbine plant according to the parent Specification which comprises a highpressure double-flow unit 9, 10, through which steam may be passed either in parallel or in series under the control of valves 5, 20, 21, 27, one high-pressure stage 10e is housed in a casing 2 separate from that of the high-pressure turbine. In a modification four geared turbines are employed.
