Abstract
535,251. Steam turbines. TRIGGS, W. W. (Akt.-Ges. Brown, Boveri,-& Cie.). July 20, 1939, No. 21063. [Class 110 (iii)] A turbine 1, which has an initial constant pressure stage 13, a turbine 2, excluding its initial constant pressure stage 20, and a lowpressure turbine 3, which may be in parallel parts in separate casings, work in series for small loads. For large loads, initial steam is introduced, also, to the constant pressure stage 20 of the turbine 2 and the steam from turbine 1 is conveyed by a pipe 23 to a later stage of turbine 2. Stages 14, 15 of turbine 1 may be short-circuited by valved lines 17, 18.
