[Class 110 (iii)] A gas turbine installation has the intermediate stages of the compressor 1 connected to the intermediate stages of the turbine 4, the arrangement being such that the flow of working medium from the compressor to the turbine decreases with increasing load until at normal load it is negligible. The flow may be controlled by valves 15, 16, and the bled gas may be heated before use in the turbine.
