475,285. Ironing-machines. BRIDGE & CO., Ltd., D., and BROWN, J. July 13, 1936, No. 19329. [Class 138 (ii)] The exposed padding on the periphery of the roller of a Decoudun or similar ironing-machine is dried by placing a series of hot pipes b in proximity thereto. The pipes may be shrouded by perforated hoods b<1> and the hot air thus produced sucked through the perforated rollers. Additional hot pipes b<2> or other heated members may be placed above the junction of two beds to heat the goods passing from one bed to another. Instead of hot pipes streams of hot air may be delivered at some points adjacent the exposed padding and removed from other points. Steam may be added to the adjacent air.
