471,609. Cylinders. BRADBURY, C. H., and RUSTON & HORNSBY, Ltd. April 3, 1936, No. 9852. [Class 7 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIX] A scraper 3 at the inner end of a valve guide 1 removes the carbon deposited on the valve spindle, an annular space 4 being provided for its collection. The scraper 3 and the space 4 may be formed in an insertion piece, threaded or welded to the guide. Several, preferably parallel, scrapers may be formed with spaces between each ; they may be helical or formed in staggered segments.
