Abstract

469,699. Fountain pens. WADE, E. E. S. June 10, 1936, No. 16200. [Class 146 (iii)] The nib-section 8 of a fountain pen is formed of translucent or transparent material and is adapted to receive at the front end a sleeve 9 of vulcanite or the like carrying the nib and feed-bar. The section which is preferably of unbreakable celluloid and may be lined with glass or otherwise treated to prevent interference with the visibility, is a push or screw fit in the barrel 1 and may be provided with an extension for mounting a self-filling sac, in which case an air-tube may also be provided. A shoulder is formed in the bore of the section 8 or on the sleeve 9 to determine the relative positions. Specification 442,262 is referred to.
