[Class 125 (iii)] A glass container 10, Fig. 1, for aspirin and like tablets 19 comprises in combination a cylindrical vessel manufactured from glass tubing and an internal stopper 14 the exterior of the stopper and the interior of the mouth of the vessel being formed with mating threads, projections or the equivalent, 13, 16, adapted to be engaged by a screwing motion, the interior of the stopper being formed with a recess or socket for holding a resilient pad 18 of cotton wool to prevent vibration of the contents. An annular washer 17 is provided between the stopper and the container 10, and if desired the marginal part 20, Fig. 2, is extended to form the housing 21 therefor. In a modification the interior mouth portion may have two or more inwardly projecting parts each adapted to engage a bayonet slot 23 in the projection 16a, Fig. 3. The mouth portion may be thickened externally, enlarged internally, to accommodate a washer or enlarged over the threaded portion 13. The stoppers may be formed of metal or moulded from synthetic resins and in modified forms comprise the pressed metal cap, Fig. 8, or may be split at 28, Fig. 9, to produce resilient tongues 29.
