Abstract

676,984. Stoppers &c. ROBINSON, F. G. Sept. 13, 1950 [Nov. 3, 1949], No. 28127/49. Class 125(iii) A screw cap is constructed in two parts, the outer member 2 having preformed projections or recesses of non-circular shape which are engaged by corresponding surfaces preformed on the inner member 1 which carries the screw thread, so that relative rotation of the parts is prevented. In the form shown in Figs. 2 and 3 the member 1 has an angular flange 3 and the member 2 is of similar shape, the lower edge 4 of the outer member being turned over to retain the inner member. The inner member may be a onepiece stamping or in a modification it is constructed from a single strip.
