A jar 1 of resilient plastics material has a number of cam projections 3 on its neck and further projecting portions formed by parts of a continuous annular rib 6, such that the projections 4 on the cap become firmly trapped when the cap is screwed on to the jar. The cap may be of metal, and include a cardboard sealing disc.
