466,544. Supply meters. WESTING- HOUSE ELECTRIC & MANUFACTURING CO. Sept. 8, 1936, No. 24433. Convention date, Oct. 24, 1935. [Class 37] A polyphase induction meter for assembly in a standard single-phase casing has each shunt and series field winding 8, 10 located on one side of the respective rotor 11, the backplates 4 abutting and leaving a gap between the cores 2. The upper plate 4 carries a counting train 14 and the lower one a brake magnet 15. Light-load adjusting plates 16 are operated by screw-threaded spindles 17 and are shaped to project into the gap formed between the cores 2 thus minimizing phase interferences between the driving systems. The base-plate 21 to which the magnet systems are secured has contact blades 22, 23 for engagement with contact jaws on a single-phase casing. If more than one potential connector 23 is provided, the number of jaws on a standard single-phase casing can be modified.
