Abstract

354,759. Supply meters. ARON ELECTRICITY METER, Ltd., HILL, E. W., WHITE, A., and RIORDAN, E. J., 80, Salusbury Road, Kilburn, London. May 8, 1930, No. 14187. [Class 37.] To compensate for friction on the rotating parts of induction meters at low loads, a bar 21 carries magnetic elements in contact with the outer limbs of an @ - shape shunt core, the elements having lugs 41, 43 and being movable across the magnet poles by a cam 55, the bar 21 having pin-and-slot connections with a frame 3 on which the shunt and series magnets are mounted. The series magnet 11 is provided with an L-shape magnetic bridge as set out in Specification 353,561. Specification 350,185 is also referred to.
