Abstract

390,885. Compensating meters for temperature errors. FERRANTI, Ltd. and CLIFFORD, C. F., Hollinwood, Lancashire. Dec. 4, 1931, No. 33649. [Class 37.] An induction-type electricity meter is compensated for temperature errors by incorporating in the series magnet core, parts e formed of magnetically conductive material having a high negative permeability-temperature coefficient and constituting part of the cross section of a considerable length'of the series magnet core limb, a portion of both the driving shunt 'and series fluxes traversing the parts e. The other portion of the driving fluxes traverses integral inverted' L-shape parts d of the normal core-material. The parts e are moulded into the insulation of the current winding spools.
