Abstract
353,561. Supply meters. ARON ELECTRICITY METER, Ltd., HILL, E. W., WHITE, A., and RIORDAN, E. J., 80, Salusbury Road, Kilburn, London. May 8, 1930, No. 14186. [Class 37.] In order to reduce the overload droop in the error/load curve of induction meters, the series field magnet core 21 is provided with one or more layers 25 of nonmagnetic material close to the face of the magnet and of low electrical conductivity, together with an L-shape magnetic bridge 35 which becomes saturated at high loads. The bridge is separated from the core by a nonmagnetic distance-piece 31. The shunt magnet core is located on the opposite side of the rotor, the two cores being mounted on a common plate of magnetic material. Specification 350,185 is referred to.
