Abstract
475,825. Inductor - - alternators. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and GRIFFITHS, L. June 17, 1936, No. 16876. [Class 35] An inductor-alternator for a speed indicator has the radially extending rotary inductors in two staggered sets, the stationary coil and magnet system having an air gap for the passage of each set of inductors formed between one magnet pole and one end of the wound core. In the form shown, bar magnets 9 are placed on two sides of the wound core 8, gaps Ga and Gb being provided between the core and the magnet polepieces 14 for the passage of inductors 4a, 4b. The inductors 4a, 4b are arranged alternately and are mounted in staggered relationship on a non-magnetic spider 1 carried by the member, the speed of which is to be ascertained.
