[Class 64 (iii)] Gas-cooling apparatus comprises tubes arranged with their axes on the apices of equilateral triangles and adapted to be connected at their ends by standardized bends so as to vary the capacity of the apparatus by cutting out some of the tubes. Figs. 2 and 4 show respectively two and three rows of tubes connected by bends 2. The tubes may be arranged to form a coil. In all cases the gas to be cooled passes through the tubes.
