460,395. Suspension bridges. HAMILTON, W. L. March 21, 1936, No. 8507. Convention date, March 21, 1935. [Class 20 (i)] An elevated track for motor vehicles comprises spaced riding tracks suspended from and supported by cables extending between fixed abutment points. Each track is formed of a ribbed riding plate 10 supported between horizontal stay-straps 14, 15 which are suspended from the cables 13 at intervals and are formed with channels to receive the supporting cables 12 which extend beneath the riding plate. The tracks for the wheels are interconnected at intervals by stay straps 17. The cables are carried by a series of towers 18, 19, 20 at each end and are anchored to the ground at 21 and are further supported by inclined members 25 supported from the heads of the towers 18. The ends of these stays 25 are connected to plates 32 carried at the ends of cross members 31 which carry rollers 35 engaging the supporting cables 12.
