[Class 132 (i).] A track for amusement railways comprises a pair of elongated beams 2 mounted on transverse tie beams 4. The track beam 2 comprises a laminated base section 5 mounted directly on the tie beams, an intermediate laminated section 7, and an outer section 6 comprising rectangular wooden bars 11 rigidly secured together, so that section 6 is laminated both horizontally and vertically. The top and inner side of section 6 carry rail elements 13, 21 upon which run respectively the vehicle wheels 15 and the horizontal wheels 23 that limit lateral displacement. The base section 5 is similarly laminated. The intermediate section 7 comprises a pair of superposed planks 29, 31, providing an overhanging portion 37 defining an under-rail surface 38. Shoes 39 attached to the car limit vertical displacement. The horizontal and vertical wheels are interchangeable. The horizontal wheels 23 are mounted on pins 56 by roller bearings 57. The rectangular upper ends of pins 56 are clamped in recesses 59 by caps 62 and bolts 63. The lower threaded ends of pins 56 are provided with adjusting nuts 69 clamped by straps 73 and bolts 74. Pins 56 are rigidly clamped by nuts 78. The wheelassembly may be readily removed by loosening the various nuts and bolts. The vertical wheels are similarly mounted.
