Abstract

332,152. Cahn, E. Oct. 21, 1929. Chairs, with separate jaws, securing to sleepers; sleepers, metal.-Metal sleepers of box-section are constructed from two rolled members 1, 3, the former having inclined sides 8 with flanges 2, and the latter having a domed or curved centre and hook-shaped edges 4. The edges 4 may be rolled over the flanges 2 after asembly. The rails are secured by clips 6 to ribbed plates 5 welded to the sleeper.
