Abstract

459,371. Lever-lid tins &c. BARLOW, R., 28, Kingsway, and BARLOW, E. E., Fairmead, Woodside Avenue, North Finchley, both in London. July 12, 1935, No. 20003. [Class 125 (iii)] The inner closing disc 11 of a lever-lid tin, can, container, &c. is provided with a flange 12 depending into a groove 8, containing a sealing ring 9 or plastic sealing material, and formed at the lower edge of the vertical wall 5 of the lever ring 4, the groove being closed to seal the joint. In use, the disc 11 is punctured with a sharp instrument, and then extracted.
