402,261. Vacuum-sealed tins &c. KNIGHT, E. J. J., Knowles, Small Dole, Sussex. Dec. 28, 1932, No. 36700. [Classes 18 and 66.] A vacuum-sealed tin or like container of flat form for cigarettes &c. comprises an outer body part, consisting of a bottom 1 and side and end walls to one of which is hinged a non-hermeticlid 11, and an inner part consisting of a top 6 and side and end walls the edges of which bed upon a ring 13 of sealing composition disposed in a channel 15 formed in the bottom of the outer body part. To enable the seal to be broken and the inner part removed to afford access to the contents a cam-plate 17 arranged upon one of the end walls of the outer part and operable from the exterior by a manipulating member 19 is adapted to engage one of the ribs 16 provided on the walls of the inner part.
