[Class 18] A powder distributer comprises a container D with lateral discharge apertures S slidable in a sleeve M which serves to obturate the apertures S, and the sleeve has an apertured stop at one end through which a finger can be inserted to slide the container along the sleeve to disclose the discharge apertures. The stop is formed by turning over the edge m of the sleeve. The container may be divided into two or more compartments by vertical partitions, and the discharge apertures of the various compartments may be at different levels or on opposite sides. The bottom of the container is closed by a plug p and plate p<1> or if the top is the open end it can be closed by a flanged cap. The top edge of the container may also be outwardly flared to ensure a tight joint with the sleeve.
