Abstract

407,854. Cans for delivering measured quantities of liquid. MILLER, G. S., 222, West 83rd Street, New York, U.S.A. July 4, 1933, No. 18926. Convention date, July 30, 1932. [Class 106 (v).] A liquid dispensing can 10 divided into a storage compartment 15 and a dispensing compartment 16, the two being in communication with each other adjacent one side at 18, and the compartment 16 having, at the opposite side, a discharge passage 19, opening at the top of the container, is characterized in that the storage compartment 15 is otherwise sealed in a permanent manner, e.g. by a disc 24 soldered over the filling opening 23 after filling, thus forming an air trap to prevent the possibility of refilling. The compartment 16 may be formed by an inverted cup-shaped piece united with the wall and bottom of the can at 22. The tube 19 may be closed by a screw cap. Approximately equal measured quantities are dispensed at each tilting of the can. Specification 225,462, [Class 106 (v)], is referred to.
