Abstract

The invention relates to a device for cleaning, disinfecting and/or deodorizing a toilet bowl. Said device comprises a lid (5) for the toilet bowl (1), which can be opened to at least 90°. The lid is fitted with an appliance for discharging a detergent, disinfectant or and/or fragrance. This appliance has a reservoir (9), fitted on or in the lid (5), and a discharging element (11) which discharges a small amount of detergent, disinfectant or and/or fragrance into the inside of the bowl when the lid (1) is down (5).

Description

Device for dispensing a fragrance, cleaning agent or disinfectant into a toilet bowl

The present invention relates to a device for dispensing a fragrance, disinfectant, cleaning agent and / or other liquid for toilet maintenance in a toilet bowl and a method for disinfecting and / or deodorising a toilet bowl by means of a device.

Disinfecting, deodorising and keeping toilet facilities, especially toilet bowls, a permanent problem. It is possible to take appropriate precautions when installing or building a new toilet system, such as installing ventilation systems, installing special flushing systems on toilet bowls, etc., but their efficiency is partly insufficient, and their development, such as the removal or displacement of odors, is delayed.

Furthermore, there is a desire to reduce or eliminate the development of odors, even in existing toilet facilities, where, for example, the bowls are cleaned using so-called toilet brushes and disinfectants or deodorants which are added to the rinsing water in holding containers. Measures, therefore, all of which are only of a makeshift nature and which, if at all, only take effect much later after the use of the toilet facility.

In the prior art, a number of devices which can be installed retrospectively are known, where cleaning or disinfectant agents can be injected into the inside of the toilet bowl from the outside of a toilet bowl. Such devices are known, for example from German utility model 80 03 876, German Offenlegungsschriften DE 22 58 397 and DE 16 09 234, US 4 670 916, US 3 953 902, US 2 760 209 and EP 596 952. All of these devices are either outside the Bowl or below the toilet seat a storage container for disinfectant and cleaning agent is arranged, from which a portion is dispensed into the interior of the bowl either by actuation or by pressure on the toilet seat. The great disadvantage of all these devices is that the amount of disinfectant or cleaning or deodorising agent is usually dispensed when a person using the toilet is sitting inside the toilet bowl and thus when washing from the inside of the toilet bowl. According to the invention, this object is achieved by means of a device according to claim 1. It is proposed that a storage container is provided in or on the lid of a toilet bowl, in which contains a disinfectant, cleaning agent and / or deodoriser. A portioning device, connected to a dispensing element, is also arranged on this storage container, by means of which a small amount of disinfectant, cleaning and / or deodorising agent is dispensed into the inside of the toilet bowl when the toilet lid is folded down. By means of this simple device, for example, a fragrance cushion is now generated in the toilet bowl, which can no longer escape from the toilet bowl due to the folded-down toilet lid. This enables simple and yet very effective odor suppression or odor elimination in a toilet facility.

This storage container for receiving, for example, the disinfectant or deodorant can either be arranged interchangeably below on the toilet lid again, for example by inserting it into a plug-in rail or by means of clips etc., or else it can be arranged integrally in the toilet lid. In the latter case, an opening for the storage container, for example above the lid, is preferably provided, by means of which the storage container can be refilled after emptying.

The portioning device, together with the dispensing element, is preferably arranged integrally on the storage container, but it can also be arranged separately on the toilet lid separately from the storage container. The portioning device is preferably such that when the toilet lid is opened, a small amount of disinfectant, deodorant or cleaning agent flows into a portioning chamber, from which this amount is then dispensed by the dispensing element, for example in the central area of the bowl, when the lid is folded down becomes. Of course, several dispensing elements can also be arranged so that the small portion of disinfectant, deodorant or cleaning agent is distributed into the bowl.

Again, it is possible to couple a portioning mechanism or a release mechanism with the opening or folding mechanism of the lid in such a way that a portion of the deodorizing or disinfectant is provided, for example when the lid is opened by means of a spring-actuated organ when the lid is folded down again by means of the spring-actuated organ mentioned, it is dispensed into the interior of the toilet bowl by the dispensing member.

The portioning mechanism is preferably such that a constant dosage or the dispensing of a certain amount can be achieved. A preferably used portioning mechanism is explained in more detail below with reference to the attached FIGS. 3 and 4.

It is of course also possible to provide additional triggering elements, such as a push button or a pump pusher, a triggering electric motor, electronic resp. mechanical possibilities, etc.

In order to prevent the amount of disinfectant or deodorant that is dispensed from being washed down too quickly during the flushing process during the flushing process, it is further possible to provide a delay mechanism in the dispenser so that the disinfectant or Deodorant is made inside the bowl. This delay can, for example, be approx. 5 seconds, which is usually enough to wait for the end of the rinsing process.

The disinfectants and / or deodorants can be any fragrance or aroma substances, such as perfumes, essential oils, etc. These fragrance or aroma substances should preferably not be volatile so that they remain inside the toilet bowl for as long as possible remain. All disinfectants currently in use are also suitable for the device proposed according to the invention, as are, of course, also cleaning additives, decalcifying agents, surfactants, wetting agents, silicones, etc., which are also suitable for cleaning the inner surface of the toilet bowl.

The upper edge of a toilet bowl 1 is covered by seat glasses 3. When opened, a toilet lid 5 is shown, on the lower side of which a device 7 according to the invention is arranged. This can be done using, for example a plug-in rail or by means of a holder, such as a clip, suction cups, etc., can be attached to the toilet lid 5. Of course, it is also possible to arrange this device integrally in the toilet lid 5 itself.

The device 7 according to the invention comprises a storage container or a bottle 9, in which a disinfectant, cleaning agent and / or deodorant is arranged. Furthermore, the device comprises a portioning or dispensing element 11, by means of which when the lid 5 is folded down in the direction of the arrow onto the upper opening of the toilet bowl 1 or onto the glasses 3, a small amount of cleaning, disinfecting and / or deodorising agent is dispensed inside the bowl.

The portioning and dispensing element 11 from FIG. 1 is shown in cross section in FIG. 2, the portioning and dispensing element being designed as simply as possible due to the generally very small amount to be dispensed. A closure 15 is arranged above a dispensing opening on the bottle 9 and has a depression 13 on the inside, for example. In this trough, one or more dispensing openings are provided on the front, which are, for example, surrounded by so-called tear-off prongs 17. When the lid 5 or the bottle 9 is folded down, liquid gets into the trough 13, and a small amount of liquid passes through the openings at the front and is dispensed into the inside of the bowl, since no drops can be formed as a result of the tear-off teeth 17. Due to the negative pressure created in the bottle and thus the closing of the openings on the front, no more liquid can get into the bottle through the openings, which prevents output.

Practical tests have shown that the amount of fragrance dispensed can be very small, which means that a small trough and suitable tear-off points on the closure are sufficient to generate the small necessary portion. Depending on the viscosity of the liquid, the outlet opening or the tear-off mechanism is preferably designed to be adjustable. The outlet opening can be enlarged or reduced by means of a screw thread or another device. If necessary, a small vent hole can even be made. When the lid is folded up, the liquid flows back and the air is equalized via the outlet opening (s).

3 and 4, a further portioning or dosing device is shown in section, by means of which a largely constant dosing or dispensing of the fragrance or cleaning agent or disinfectant can be achieved in the toilet bowl.

Fig. 4 shows the same sectional view as Fig. 3, in a position tilted by an angle of approximately 90 °, i.e. for example with the toilet lid down. The metered amount has flowed through the tube 22 and the dispensing opening 23. Since the level 27 of the container contents 25 is below the edge of the dispensing opening 24, no further liquid flows in. If the container 21 is tilted back into the starting position according to FIG. 3, a metered quantity 26 flows into the tube 22 again.

According to the invention, such a metering device or a container 21 can now be arranged on the underside of the toilet lid, like the bottle 9 shown in FIG. 1. An arbitrary dispensing element can be arranged at the dispensing opening 23, such as a simple dispensing nozzle, to which there are no special functional requirements. This is not least due to the functional principle of the metering device, since the quantity or dose to be dispensed is already generated in the area of the metering volume 26. However, the dispensing nozzle is preferably such that a good distribution of the liquid to be dispensed is ensured inside the toilet bowl.

Of course, it is also possible to provide a thread in the area of the discharge opening 23 or a plug-in device so that the metering device of FIGS. 3 and 4 can be closed by means of a screw cap or a plug-on cover. This is useful, for example, if it is a replacement seibares container 21, which is removed for refilling from the lid, or if it is a disposable container and this should be closable for transport or handling.

Furthermore, the pipe 22 does not have to be a straight pipe, but it can also be a tortuous pipe, for example for generating a time delay, so that the dispensing quantity is delayed when the toilet lid is folded down. As is well known, water flushing is often only activated after the toilet lid has been folded down, so that a dispensed quantity dispensed too quickly would be washed away.

As already mentioned above, the portioning or dispensing device can of course be designed in accordance with the portioned quantity to be dispensed, for example by arranging a slide mechanism which is connected to the hinge of the lid by means of a spring element. There are no limits to the design of the portioning and dispensing device, and they are only handicrafts.

Figures 1 to 4 are only intended to illustrate the basic idea of the device according to the invention, and of course the invention is not limited to the device shown and portioning or dosing device.

The basic principle or mode of operation of the device is that when the toilet lid is folded down after using the toilet and after the flushing process, a small portion of a cleaning, disinfecting or deodorising agent is dispensed into the inside of the toilet bowl unfolding cloud of fragrance through the folded down lid in the Is kept inside the toilet bowl. Claims:

1. Device for cleaning, disinfecting and / or deodorising a toilet bowl, characterized by

- A lid (5) of the toilet bowl (1), which can be opened by at least 90 °;

- A storage container (9) arranged on or in the lid (5) for a cleaning agent, disinfectant and / or deodorant, and

- An output member (11) to release a small amount of the cleaning, disinfecting and / or deodorising agent into the interior of the bowl when the lid (5) is in the folded-down position.
