[Class 66.] A sealing cover 2 of aluminium or other metal foil is applied to a metal box or the like by forming a gutter or channel at the mouth of the container, coating the edge of the cover or container or both at 3 with liquid rubber, allowing the rubber to dry, and folding and pressing the parts together as shown in Fig. 3.
