458,835. Vehicle wheels. STEVENS, A. H., 5, Quality Court, Chancery Lane, London.-(Firestone Steel Products Co. ; Main Avenue, Akron, Ohio, U.S.A.) June 28, 1935, No. 19563/36. Divided out of 468,799. [Class 144 (i)] A wheel comprising a rim 30 detachably secured to the web 23 of the brake-drum 21 is fitted with a dust-cover 26, Fig. 3, having a permanently-attached hub-cap 29, and an ornamental cover 42 which is secured over the cylindrical portion 27 of the cover 26 by a ring 46 having bayonet slots 48 to co-operate with studs 47 on the part 27. The cover 42 may be formed with openings such as 53 for ventilating the space between the brakedrum and the wheel-rim. In the modification shown in Fig. 11, the ornamental cover 61 is fitted with a ring 71 having a pin 79 guided in a slot 80 in the sleeved portion 62. On assembly, the flange 73 of the cover 61 abuts the wall 67 of the inner dust-cover 69, the ring 71 being locked by the engagement of lugs on a spring-plate 72 with a grooved portion 77 of the ring.
