Abstract

445,642. Vehicle wheels. RUBERY, OWEN, & CO., Ltd., and DOWNS, R. W., Victoria Works, Darlaston, Staffordshire. March 22, 1935, No. 8996. [Class 144 (i)] A pressed-metal disc wheel comprises a mounting- flange 15, an outwardly - convex body - portion 12 having spaced apertures 23, and a central covering portion 20 secured near the radiallyinner zone of the portion 12. Preferably, the apertures 23 are inwardly-flanged and are disposed nearer to the cover 20 than to the rim. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the mounting- flange 15 is formed integral with the body-portion 12, to which the cover 20 is welded and the rim 14 riveted. A hub-cap 22 is secured, by a centre-screw 21, to a bridgepiece on the cover portion 20. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the disc body 12 is formed integral with the rim-portion 14b, and separately from the mounting-flange portion 15.
