Abstract

244,340. Goodyear, C. E. May 20, 1925. Disc wheels.-In a wheel formed of half-members a which have web portions between the half-spokes, the webs of the half-members are integrally connected together by electric welding, the edges of the half-members being extended to form a circumferential well in the rim portion of the wheel. An annular circumferential member may be fitted within the rim to close the spoke ends and strengthen the inturned rim edges as described in Specification 243,554. Liners b reinforce the hub part of the wheel as shown in Fig. 3.
