458,297. Arm - - rests. STRONG, G. W., 10, Early Street, Parramatta, and HOWARD, A. C., c/o Howard Auto-Cultivators, Ltd., Windsor Road, Northmead, both near Sydney, Australia. Jan. 13, 1936, No. 1066. [Class 52 (ii)] A detachable arm-rest intended particularly for vehicle seats comprises an inverted U-shaped member 9, preferably of spring steel, adapted to fit over the seat back and provided with lateral extensions 14, Fig. 5, and a padded arm-rest member consisting of a base 11, Fig. 2, of wood, a cushion 12 of sponge rubber or other material, and a roll 13 of rope or other material. The arm rest may be pivoted to lugs 16 on the U - shaped member so as to fold up. The metal parts may be rubber coated or covered with leather or leather-cloth.
