Abstract

518,746. Adjustable seats. SOC. d'ACCESSOIRES EN TUBE POUR AUTOMOBILES (T.U.B.A.U.T.O.). Aug. 31, 1938, No. 25504. Convention date, Sept. 7, 1937. [Class 52 (ii)] A tiltable seat, particularly for vehicles comprises an arcuate frame element 2, the centre of curvature O of which coincides approximately with the centre of gravity of the occupant of the seat, supported on a base 4 by means of rollers 3, 5 on each side, with a guide roller 10 mounted in housings 8 pivotally mounted on the axle of the front rollers 3. To retain the seat in adjusted' position, a latch 13 secured to the axle 7 of the front rollers engages in recesses in the tube e .2, and is operated by the cranked end of the axle _ 7. The latch may be controlled by a spring, or by the weight of .a a knob 14. The base 4 may be slidable in guides fixed to the floor, locking means being provided.
