Sliding seats.-A vehicle seat is so constructed that it moves automatically outward laterally when a weight, such as the weight of a passenger, is applied on top of the seat. Such a seat is shown in Fig. 1, the seat proper c carrying rollers which run on inclined rods a secured between fixed members b. A spring f returns the seat when the occupant rises. According to the Provisional Specification a lever mechanism may be provided instead of the rollers and inclined rods a.
