Seats &c., arrangement &c. of.-Vehicles, particularly for ambulance service, comprise a. frame for a litter or seat which is rockable on one or more horizontal axes under the influence of one or more weights in such a manner that on changes of direction or of speed of the vehicle the litter &c. moves to such a position as to tend to prevent relative movement between the occupant and the litter &c. In one form the litter frame is supported on a longitudinal axis and is provided with a pendant weight the force on which, if the vehicle changes its direction, causes the litter frame to incline in the appropriate manner. Spring suspensions are provided in addition. The frame may be provided with two parallel axes so arranged in bearings that on tilting to one side one of the axes rises in its bearings. The weight may be arranged above the frame and so connected to it as to communicate to it the appropriate movements. The movements of the weights may be restrained by spring or other brake means, while the axes may be also arranged transversely of the vehicle.
