446,911. Vehicle seats. TAN-SAD CHAIR CO. (1931), Ltd., Foundry Lane, Birmingham, and GABB, A. H., 3, Western Road, Horfield Common, Bristol. Nov. 8, 1934, Nos. 32074 and 35143. [Class 52 (ii)] A seat frame for vehicle seats comprises a U-shaped frame a<1>, a<3> of resilient or resilientlv controlled character, the limbs a3 of the frame lying on the floor, and a backrest frame b connected to the upper limbs a<1> of the frame by pivots at its lower end and connected at its upper end to a fixed part of the frame or of the vehicle by springs or pivoted links. The back-rest frame may for instance be connected to a frame a<5> integral with the lower limbs a<3> by springs b<1>, b<2>. The frame a<5> Fig. 3, may be adjustably connected to the limbs a<3>, and the back-rest frame may be connected to the frame a<5> by links c. In a modification, the limbs a<8>, Fig. 5, forming the seat frame may be pivoted at a to the lower part of the frame and resiliently supported by springs a<10>. Specification 443,655 is referred to.
