Abstract
457,988. Preventing fires fastenings. ZEISS IKON AKT.-GES., 72, Schandauer Strasse, Dresden, Germany. Sept. 4, 1935, No. 25678. Convention date, April 10. [Class 47 (ii)] [See also Group XXV] A safety closing flap or shutter 1, for the observation or projection window (not shown) of a cinema projection room, is held open by a latch 5 formed on the armature 6 of an electromagnet 7 which is mounted on the frame 2 of the window. The latch engages a member 4, in the form of a double cone, at the upper end of the shutter, and the elec tromagnet normally is energized When the circuit of the electro magnet is broken by the opera tion of any suitable fire safety device, the member 4 is released, and the shutter closes. The device may operate with the electromagnet normally open-circuited.
