542,415. Photographic shutters. ZEISS IKON AKT.-GES. June 13, 1940, No. 10307. Convention date, Oct 8, 1938. [Class 98 (i)] A photographic camera has a shutter 2 with overlapping blades situated behind the objective and means, such as a blade 4, between it and the film to intercept any light leaking between the blades when in the closed position so that it does not reach the film. As shown, the blade 4 is pivoted and is moved to the open position shown by a shoulder 8 on the shutter release rod 7, in which position it is retained by a spring-actuated catch 9 until the latter is disengaged by a lug 11 on the shutter when the shutter is released.
