Abstract

324,072. Graseby, R. C. Oct. 15, 1928. Shutters with pivoting blades.-A camera shutter for making a series of exposures comprises two spring. or gravity-controlled pivoted and apertured blades 3 and 4 arranged so that their apertures register with the lens aperture 2 when one blade 3 is' in one extreme pivotal position and the other blade 4 is in the other extreme pivotal position; and means, such as a cam 20 engaging stops 13 and 17 on the blades 4 and 3 respectively, for repeatedly moving the blades together about their pivot and releasing first the blade 4 to bring the apertures into register and then the blade 3 to end the exposure. A plate 15, pivoted at 16 and secured by a thumb screw 18, carries the pin 17 and enables the relative times of release of the blades to be adjusted. The blades have straight edges 23 which engage the straight-edged stop 8.
