[Class 98 (i)] A folding photographic camera having an objective shutter comprises a shutter release member carried by the camera housing and transmission members mounted for rotation about an axis parallel to the camera baseboard for transmitting the movement of the shutter release member to the shutter release mechanism carried by the objective casing. As shown, the spring-returned shutter release member 2 on the camera housing 1 co-operates with a lever 3 adapted to rotate a lever 5 on the rotatable shaft 6 mounted on the folding baseboard 4. On rotation of the shaft 6 the lever 7 strikes the shutter trigger 8 to operate the shutter mechanism.
