Abstract

374,237. Lens mounts. VINTEN, W., of Vinten, Ltd., North Circular Road, Cricklewood, London. May 18, 1931, No. 14656. [Class 97 (i).] In a focusing lens mount for a camera &c., means for imparting a longitudinal movement, unaccompanied b y rotary movement, to the lens by rotation of the focusing ring, comprises a tubular sleeve d, having an inturned flange f forming a housing for the lens, the sleeve being mounted on the iris shutter sleeve a and provided with a flange e adjacent the collar b. An externally-threaded sleeve k is rotatably mounted on the sleeve d between the flange e and a collar h and is fixed to the focusing ring m by a screw n. The sleeve k engages in internal threads in a tubular member p which fits round the rearward part of the sleeve d and is secured to the camera. Rotation of the sleeve d is prevented by a key q carried by the member p entering a slot g in the sleeve. The focusing scale is marked on a flange o extending from the ring m, the zero line being marked on the part r.
