[Class 98 (i).] In a reflex camera for roll-films in which the winding of the film, setting of the focal plane shutter and moving of the mirror into position for focusing are effected by a single winding knob, connected to the film winding axle directly and to the shutter winding shaft through gearing and a friction clutch, the clutch comprises a spring frictionally connected to the knob and operatively connected to gearing driving the shutter winding shaft, and the mirror is set by a cam on the shutter winding shaft. In the form shown, the film is wound by a knob 7, Fig. 6, the shaft 8 of which is encircled by a spring 16 anchored to a pinion 9, driving the shaft of a roller-blind shutter through gearing 10-15. Reverse rotation of the shaft 8 is prevented by a spring 21. The mirror 34 is set by a cam 27, Fig. 9, on the shaft of the shutter which during the winding bears on a lug 33 on a pivoted plate 30 bearing a pin 32 which presses the mirror into position for focusing where it is retained by a spring catch 36. The pinions 10 and 15 are carried by a plate pivoted to the wall of the casing. Pressure on the shutter release 23 moves an arm 24 to rock the plate carrying the pinions 10 and 15, the pinions 12 and 15 being thereby uncoupled allowing the first roll of the shutter to run down. At the same time a nose 19 on an arm 44 engages a pin 18 on the pinion 11 preventing the second roll of the shutter from running down. When the shutter operating member 23 is released, the nose 19 is withdrawn from the pin 18, and the second roll of the shutter runs down.
