Theatres.-In order to minimize fires in kinematograph &c. halls, the projecting-apparatus 5 is located in a separate fire-proof chamber 4, and the projected pictures are deflected on to the screen 3 by a reflecting-system 6, 7, 7<a>, 8. The screen 3 can be viewed from the chamber 4 by means of a periscope 11. A valve or shutter 10 can be closed to prevent the passage of smoke through the tube 6 in case of fire.
